Sex and Relationship Therapy (Psychosexual Therapy)

 

Deonne Wales is an experienced Sex and Relationship Therapist registered with the College of Sex

and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). During her NHS nursing career as a Specialist Sexual

Health Nurse, talking to patients about their sexual health was an aspect that Deonne really loved.

 

After completing a BSc (Hons) in Sexual Health, Deonne commenced her training in integrated

sex and relationship therapy with the centre of Psychosexual Therapy, London graduating with

a postgraduate diploma.

 

Deonne can help with a number of common issues such as:

 

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Ejaculation difficulties such as rapid or delayed ejaculation

  • Reducing anxiety around sex, relationships and intimacy

  • Sexual abuse or assault

  • Sexual health issues

  • Compulsive sexual behaviours

  • Vulval pain conditions

  • Vaginismus

  • Dyspareunia (pain during intercourse)

  • Sexual orientation questions or insecurities

  • Pornography issues

  • Orgasmic or anorgasmic problems

  • Fears around lack of sexual experience

  • Loss of desire and arousal difficulties

Deonne's goal as a therapist is to help clients come to a better understanding of their sexual and relationship difficulties, and to work together towards facilitating the changes that will get them the sex lives they want.

 

Deonne works integratively by looking at the problem in the context of the individual. As a qualified and experienced nurse, she is able to draw on her extensive medical knowledge in her assessment of possible physical causes in sexual dysfunctions.

 

Deonne works with individuals and couples of all sexual orientations, gender identities and sexualities.
